<Jeonpo (Jeonpo-dong)>

Jeonpo-dong is Beopjeong-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan, it is one of the five po areas in Busan.

It is an area that is connected to Bujeon-dong to the west and leads to Seomyeon. It is divided into east and west based on Jeonpo-daero. The western area is home to commercial facilities such as NC Department Store, officetels, and high-rise apartments such as Lotte Castle Sky. In the eastern area, large apartments such as Seomyeon I-Park and Jeonpo Sarang began to be built in 2017.

It is divided into Jeonpo 1-dong and Jeonpo 2-dong, and is located in Seomyeon 1-dong (舊 3-dong) of CGV (movie theater). There were also four dongs, but they were merged into two dongs. This area was flooded frequently, and the flood swept away the soil of the mountains around Seomyeon, which naturally filled the sea and created land. It became a waterfront, and vegetables were grown by forming rice fields. It was called Batgae because there were many rice fields on the western slope of Hwangnyeongsan Mountain, located in the water where Jeonpocheon Stream flows. So, there are fields around the river or near the water That's why it's called a field dog. This trace is the village of Batgae in Jeonpo 1-dong.
